How are you doing so far these first few days of 2021? Are you thinking of building your own business? Are you into gaming and want to pivot your passion into entrepreneurship? Eric grew up playing computer games, which most of us could relate to. He has played popular computer games from Counter-Strike to World of Warcraft and the likes. Though his friends and family said that he was just wasting his time doing unnecessary things, little did they know that these games helped Eric nurture characteristics which helped him to be the successful entrepreneur that he is today.
As a young adult, he experienced hardships, failures, and rejections but he has built confidence within himself and was able to overcome them. If you are interested to learn more about Eric’s life and his secret to success, sit back, buckle up, and grab a pen and paper as we listen to his words of wisdom.

(5:31) When you’re younger, you think too much, you over-optimize for money.
(5:55) So when you have culture and you have a big long-term vision, you can actually scale.
(7:48) You don’t want to compare your journey to someone else’s because in the business world he has his journey; you have your own journey.
(8:40) What you’re aiming for is curiosity. If he didn’t respond, I would go to somebody else and I’ll just keep asking questions.
(8:57) You don’t think you’re better than people, you’re always trying to learn, and you’re always trying to get better.
(9:22) You just keep going and keep going and keep going, and then someone’s going to pay attention.
(12:46) The key thing that we learned was focusing on creating a great audience, focusing on creating a great community first. Then you can do whatever you want afterwards, because your ultimate goal is to just serve the community.
(16:28) What I found over the years is consistency helps, and then naturally you’ll build an audience.
(18:13) If you’re starting out, this is more of like a long-term brain hack. What you’re looking for is the unsolicited response rate.
(22:18) I read a lot of books, so I’m looking for people that are similar to me, people that want to learn, people that are curious.
(29:41) You’re helping the world and now you’re just taking what you’re doing and you’re actually making the impact on the broader economy.
